Do Popped Syphilis Sores Bleed

THE VERY HEART OF LOUISE TITI

WHEN you read this book ...

Author: SALLY NICHOLLS
Publisher: Pocket Jeunesse
Release Date: October 2008
Roman from 12 years

Sam is a little 11 year old boy who lives in England with his family: his father, his mother and his sister Elsa. Sam has a best friend, Felix. They met at the hospital. Rather like the original meeting place! But now, despite what one might expect, Sam is not a little boy much like the others. Sam is suffering from leukemia, a very serious blood disease that he knows, will be stronger than him. Sam has already a history and wants to tell in a book. He writes like a diary, dozens of lists to summarize his desires, questions and especially his dreams. More accessible to the unattainable, Sam wants to carry all before leaving. Accompanied by Felix and his family, Sam will fight to stay alive as long as possible and will write whatever happens to him, day after day.

While dealing with a serious and painful subject, this book (first novel by Sally Nicholls) is not always sad or morbid. Sam is a very strong little boy, touching, to which we attach very quickly. The passages sad, painful but also funny and happy side by side throughout this novel. You dive fully into the life of this little boy and can not get out. Very easy to read, this book is aimed primarily at young people (from 12) but can also be read by an adult. Hymn to life and hope, the story of Sam will push you to think about what you really want to make your life and inspire you to achieve your wildest dreams regardless of the concerns and difficulties of everyday life. When you read this book ... you will spend some quality time between laughter and tears. By Anna
